Fall Festival

Emma enjoyed her Early Childhood Fall Festival. Here she is playing Halloween golf and showing her excitement. She loved getting her face painted. She wanted to look at her pumpkin cheek. She was so excited about it that we had to stop at Grandma Nonie's and Uncle's on our way home so she could show them.

A First - sitting patiently!!!!

She decided to match up the scarecrow's nose with his cheek!

Shutterfly

Shutterfly is a great website. I have purchased many prints, print enlargements, calendars, and photo books and shared links to family of the uploaded photos. We have been very happy with the quality, prices and receive many special offers. Their customer service is wonderful. I read on my friend Kristin’s blog that there was a Shutterfly offer for 50 free cards! Thanks Kristin for sharing this offer! I have made the cards before for Valentine’s Day/Chinese New Year. They are easy to make and turned out great! I am hoping to make cards for either Christmas or Thanksgiving. Some of you will receive them in your mailbox! Check out the following links to the cards Shutterfly has available. Emma and maybe Mom & Dad will be on one of their cards this holiday season!

Trick-or-Treat

Emma enjoyed "trick-or-peating." She was really excited about it. She would knock on the door and say "trick-or-peat". She loved all the candy and made herself at home everywhere! She got to enjoy her 1st sucker and loved it!
She had fun at the relatives house and even got to spend some time with her cousins. They put her hair up and Emma was so excited to show everyone there and then at Grandma's house. She was quite the cute Minnie!

Emma taking a break from the trick-or-peat action and playing a tune on Aunty Janet's organ.
Who's Minnie now?

Costumes

I purchased two costumes for Emma's Halloween festivities. I knew that she would need something warm for trick-or-treating, so Piglet was perfect. Well, whenever we would mention the Piglet costume she would quickly say Minnie.
For our Church's Fall Festival, Emma had a meltdown when Chris took out the Piglet costume! So she was Minnie. For her daycare's party, we sent Piglet. I figured she had no choice when that was the only costume. Her teachers said she did great at School wearing the Piglet costume!! That night she even wore it for Nicole.

Carving Pumpkins

Nicole came over to help us carve pumpkins. We missed Kyle, he had to work. I thought it would be fun for Emma to design the face. I had shapes cut out and she would tape them to the pumpkin. She wanted to help carve. Once we were cleaning out the pumpkin, Emma was really interested in the inside. Well, she looked a few times then started to gag!
Emma liked it when we lit the candles and she got to blow them out.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the Nordic Ridge Pumpkin Patch last week. It was a beautiful day.
We went on a hayride - Emma's 1st! We also went through part of the corn maze, saw some animals, and played at the playground. Emma loved the tube slide out of the barn. It was great until some older kids were climbing up the slide! Emma just didn't understand why she couldn't climb up it. So, we walked over to the straw pumpkin. She like climbing it and jumping in the straw.
