Update - 3 years

Emma had her 3 year old check up on Friday. She now weighs 28 lbs and is 36.5 inches tall. She had her blood pressure taken. She loved that and sat very nice and was quiet. She also received an immunization. She was very good, only told the nurse that it hurt and was thrilled to receive Dora and Princess stickers.

Thank you for voting for Emma in the Disney Junior Photo contest. We appreciate the support. She wasn't one of the top vote getters but it still was fun. She will be looking forward to the premiere of Disney Junior, she sure does love Mickey & Minnie.
Hope everyone is surviving the winter. We are tired of snow removal. We had very cold temps over the past weekend. Glad it is warming up this week!

Birthday Girl

Can you believe it? Emma is 3! Where did the time go? She is very excited about her birthday. When I have asked her what she wanted to do for her birthday - her answer - wear a party hat! Well she did get to wear one at her daycare. She was very excited and loved it.

When she would wear it at home, she would ask us to say Happy Birthday to her and sing. Needless to say, we have sung many times!

We had a party for her on her birthday. She had lots of fun. Of course she enjoyed all the attention and the presents. She said wanted to play with her gifts or try them on right away. She was good about saying thank you but it was hard to say good bye to everyone. She was on overload from the party. We put her to bed around 8:15, she was in and out of her room until 9:45!!!! She insisted on sleeping in her dress up high heel shoes!

Celebrations

During the past two weeks we celebrated a wonderful milestone - my Aunt and Uncle's 50th Wedding Anniversary. We got together for dinner. It was a nice night. Emma loved it. When she saw the cake, she thought it was for her birthday! Thanks to my aunt and uncle for sharing this special Anniversary with her.

We also celebrated Auntie Carol's birthday. Again, Emma was excited and wanted to share in the celebration. Again, she thought it was her birthday.

Girly Girl

Emma wearing her dress-up high heels and her can-can skirt, while jamming her Mickey guitar. Here she is wearing her North Carolina basketball jersey, her Minnie Mouse dress and her dress-up high heels. She convinced us that she needed to sleep with her high heels on. The next morning she clomped down the hall to our room and exclaimed that she had puppy, Minnie, Mickey and her shoes on! She was thrilled.

3 Years old

Can you believe it? Emma is 3 years old! We took the traditional photos of Emma in her rocking chair and with her panda, Belinda. I wanted her to sit up so we could see how much she has grown. Why would a 3 year old cooperate? She insisted on holding puppy and her basketball. I am glad it was a basketball and not a hockey puck! :)

Cousins

We enjoyed a visit with cousins during the holidays. At first Emma didn't want to share but then realized that it was fun to have a cousin to play with and enjoyed the visits. They had a lot of fun together. It was fun watching them and wished we lived closer!

Disney Junior Photo Contest

My cousin sent me information on a photo contest promoting the premiere of Disney Junior. We decided to enter Emma in the contest. We are hoping you would be willing to vote for her.
