2 1/2 years old

Emma is now 2 1/2 years old. Where has the time gone? She sure has grown. I felt it was time to take the traditional photos - in her rocker and one with Belinda. Here I am comparing her 2 1/2 year pictures and and her 14 month pictures. Emma is quite the busy toddler. She is talking a lot. She says short sentences and says many words. She likes to talk on the phone and loves all the attention she gets. She loves everyone and has a hard time saying good bye. She recognizes many people by name and says their name.

Phoenix

Phoenix is my cousin Shannon's dog. Emma loves him! He was at the Eveleth parade with us. She loved watching him, petting him and was able to give him a treat. This made Emma's day! Well, her day got even better. We went to Shannon & Brian's after the parade. Emma got to walk Phoenix around on the leash!!! Phoenix is so well trained he didn't know what to do with an almost 2 1/2 year old toddler, so Shannon graciously walked with Emma so Phoenix would walk. Emma had a great time with Phoenix.

Nature Walk

A couple of weeks ago we went for a walk on the Mesabi Bike Trail near Kinney. It was a beautiful walk. Chris was prepared with his camera because he knew this spot had lady slippers. Emma enjoyed watching her daddy take pictures and her picnic dinner.

Celebrating the 4th

Sorry for the delay in posting about the 4th. It was a busy weekend filled with lots of events - parades, family, friends, bbq, swimming, and time at the park.
July 2 - We took the afternoon off and prepared for our 4th bbq and went to the beach
July 3 - We picked up Grandma Nonie and attended the Gilbert Kiddie Parade, then went to the Park with Uncle Chad and his friend Jesan, then to the park again later that evening
July 4 - Attended church and had family and friends over for a bbq. Considering the morning downpour, the weather cooperated and it was beautiful
Enjoying a couple games of croquet with Steve

Alright, Beach!!

We have taken Emma to the beach a couple of times. She enjoys it! She likes to play in the sand and "swim". She really wants to jump off the dock. She has jumped with our help, but we know she wants to do it all by herself. These videos were taken on the way to the beach.

Puppy Does Lots of Things

Emma was too quiet. This is what I found. Puppy had to go potty. She insisted that he sit on her seat. She was all excited that he went, wiped him, had him flush the toilet and gave him a kiss for doing so well. I didn't let her wash his paws. As I have posted before, she has 2 puppies. Well, now she makes sure she gives us the one with sewed ears. She loves her floppy ear puppy.
