Halloween - Carving the Pumpkin
Emma received a pumpkin from her Godmother. Emma didn't know what to think of the carved pumpkin. When she would put her hand inside, she would say "ewwww". She didn't care for the feel of it and wanted her hands clean. It was very cute. We decided to carve something special for Emma's 1st Halloween. Nicole found some templates. Minnie Mouse it is. Here we are with our creation.

Our 100th Blog Post!
In celebration of our 100th blog post we want to thank all of the people who have followed our journey as we have became a family. It has been an absolute joy to see how Emma has grown since February 9. We are very lucky to have so many people supporting us. We have enjoyed all of your comments and are so glad you are still enjoying watching Emma grow. A year ago the pictures below were just a dream........

Some Firsts
First snowfall of the season - October 10, 2009 - Emma didn't know what she thought about the snow. She did notice the snow right away. She had a concerned look, she knew something wasn't right, why is the deck white? She didn't care for the cold on her hand.

First day of ECFE classes - September 29
First day of ECFE classes - September 29
First time I have seen her sit down and watch TV for more than a few seconds - September 29. She is enjoying some morning juice and watching a minute of Dora. Dora was singing about something, so that must of caught her attention. Emma still loves music.
First football game - Eveleth-Gilbert Homecoming - September 25 - It was a beautiful night for football. We were lucky to be sitting with some friends, Emma loved watching the kids.

First time she wanted to play dress-up - September 2009. She loved wearing the mittens, she went around the house touching everything. Little did she know the time would come too soon that she would have to wear them all the time. The hat, mittens and sweater were made by Grandma Winone's good friend, Vickie.

21 Months
I know, finally a post. I don't know where the past week went!
We took Emma's traditional photos - with Belinda (panda) and sitting in her rocking chair. Notice, she is holding a golf ball. Emma insisted she hold it, she loves playing golf with her daddy. We also ventured out for a Fall picture. We were hoping to take more of her but the weather hasn't been cooperative and she has had a little cold.

Let's Go Twins!
What a week for Minnesota sports. Emma wore her Twins jersey to her ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education) class yesterday. I know she should be holding a baseball. Well, she received this basketball from her Uncle Chad last Friday. She loves it. Her latest trick is throwing it into the kitchen sink! Soon, she will make it into the hoop!
I will have to post more this week. We have had a busy couple weeks of firsts - football game, ECFE class, storytime. Fall is definitely here!

Caught!
Emma wants to use the computer. She likes to see the pictures and watch videos of herself. She knows the computer is fun. I had my work laptop on the kitchen table. She preceded to climb on the chair and start to use the mouse and keyboard!

Last week she climbed on top of her toy box and banged on the wall to get the metal family tree decoration to move and make noise! She has been told no and removed from the toy box many times. One time the family tree did fall off the wall. Luckily, Emma didn't get hurt. She did get scared. Did I mention she loves to climb?
