Carving Pumpkins

Nicole came over to help us carve pumpkins. We missed Kyle, he had to work. I thought it would be fun for Emma to design the face. I had shapes cut out and she would tape them to the pumpkin. She wanted to help carve. Once we were cleaning out the pumpkin, Emma was really interested in the inside. Well, she looked a few times then started to gag!
Emma liked it when we lit the candles and she got to blow them out.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the Nordic Ridge Pumpkin Patch last week. It was a beautiful day.
We went on a hayride - Emma's 1st! We also went through part of the corn maze, saw some animals, and played at the playground. Emma loved the tube slide out of the barn. It was great until some older kids were climbing up the slide! Emma just didn't understand why she couldn't climb up it. So, we walked over to the straw pumpkin. She like climbing it and jumping in the straw.

Baking

Emma loves to help bake. Here she is helping me make Finnish pancakes. She thought it was great to use the mini whisk and that there was a large whisk to use too.
She also loves to wash dishes. She is quite the helper!

Party

Grandma Sandi came for a visit. We celebrated her birthday. Emma loved the cake. She kept sticking her finger in it!
Grandma Sandi was here for a week, Emma enjoyed the extra attention.

Autumn

While sitting on the rock, you could tell Emma was thinking about something. Well, she looked at me and said "slide"! She slid down the rock!

Jumping

This girl loves and I mean loves to jump! She will jump off the couch and jump on the bed. She will even stand, jump up and land on her bottum. She thinks it is fun! So we decided to get her a small trampoline. She was really excited.
Mom, see how strong I am?

Pedaling

She loves her tricycle. Last week, she surprised us, she pedals consistently now. She likes to go both forwards and backwards and will turn when you tell her. She knows she has to wear her helmet.
