We had visitors for a few days - Meenah & Eryn. We went to Minneapolis on Tuesday. We met my friends, Janelle & children and Jolene & children at Como Zoo. What a hot day!!!! We had lunch, walked quickly to see a couple of animals, then visited in the air conditioned Visitor Center. We spent the night at Jess & Ry's. The girls came home with us. They were wonderful helpers. Emma loved the attention. She seemed a little lost when they left yesterday. We were busy during their visit - going to the beach, the playground, playing games, having a PPPPP (Princess Protection Program Premiere Party, a Disney movie), crafts, and just spending time together. Jess & Ry came on Friday night during the PPPPP. It was a great weekend with friends. On Saturday, we did play a rousing game of Monopoly and yard games. The women dominated the men in bean bag, ladder ball and SkipBo!

First & Second Trip to the Beach

Emma's 1st day at the Ely Lake Beach - Thursday, June 25. She was a little tentative at first about going in the water. Once the water touched her feet she loved it. She was splashed a couple of times, then sat down. She liked to play with the sand.

Eryn & Emma enjoying the beach Trip #2 - Friday, June 26 - We were at the beach again. It was another warm day. We had sandwiches, snacks and enjoyed the lake. Chris was able to take the afternoon off.
Auntie Carol joined us too.

Father's Day

Chris enjoyed his first Father's Day. It was a wonderful day. Chris & Emma attended our outdoor church service, then we bbq'd, played with Chris's Father's Day gift, took a walk and Chris found time to take in a round of golf. Chris's gift was a basketball hoop, don't worry, he still loves hockey. Uncle Chad was thrilled that Emma loved the ball and knew it should go through the hoop (she loves playing with her hoop in the basement)
Emma is such a blessing!

Our 10th Wedding Anniversary

We celebrated ten years of marriage on Friday, June 19. Where has the time gone? It is hard to believe that we have been married for ten years! It has been a wonderful, fulfilling time. As the 10 year Anniversary Precious Moments figurine states:
"It has been a decade of dreams come true. "

Update

Sorry for the delay in posting. We have had a computer power problem. It is fixed now so we are back to blogging!
Emma had her well child check up on Monday, May 18. She now weighs 18 lbs 3 oz. Yah! She has gained some weight since we have been home. The doctor said she is doing quite well.
What are the chances our daughter would have skin problems? Emma has eczema, just like her mom and others in our family!!!! I can't believe it!
Many have asked - how is she sleeping? Some nights are wonderful and others not so good. She has rough nights when she is teething. She was getting 5 teeth at one time!
She is learning so much. She has really blossomed in the past week.

She loves the phone. Uncle Chad decided that Emma needed his old phone. She loves to talk on it. She does say mama, dada and hi. Uncle Chad also taught her to give knucks. It is so cute!

She loves her baby. She just started playing with it this past week. Her favorite toy is her puppy. She carries it everywhere. It has already been washed a few times and yes, we do have an extra.

Swinging - she wasn't too sure about it at first. Then loved it.

Helping her Daddy plant the flowers. She loved the dirt.

Sneezing! Oh No! We hope Emma doesn't have allergies.

First Boat Ride - A pontoon ride on Bear Island on Memorial Day weekend. She enjoyed it. Thank you Uncle John & Auntie Shari.

She loves being outside. She enjoys walking up and down this step and also thinks it is a great seat just her size.
