We went to the St. Louis County Fair on Friday afternoon. Emma liked saying Hi to everyone and waving. We took her to the barns, she liked the cows. The children's barn was too packed so she didn't get to pet anything. We walked around the Midway but didn't ride anything, maybe next year.
We visited Chris's Grandma on Saturday. She is recovering nicely from her broken hip. Soon, she will be able to move back to her assisted living apartment. We also visited with friends at their cabin. The weather has been cool and rainy. Hopefully summer will come soon.

Emma's Snail

Emma loves her snail. She received this snail as a gift from her cousin Brianne and her fiance, Steve. The snail is great! If you ask her to go get her snail she runs to it and carries it to you. The snail is very soft and snuggly. She likes to hug and kiss it and also uses it as a chair.
She is starting to play with her baby doll and some of her stuffed toys. Emma has been making a few more animal sounds. Her favorite is still a puppy. She is also saying Hi alot more.

What A Girl Loves - Ice Cream, Purses, Shoes

Ice Cream - Emma enjoying her first ice cream cone from K & B Drive In. She loves ice cream.

This past week Emma started to carry her purse around the house. I know she loves looking in mommy's & Grandma Nonie's purses. She loves putting things in her purse. She gets very frustrated if the item she wants in her purse doesn't fit.

Emma received a new pair of shoes from her Auntie Grandma Jayne. They are great! She is very fashionable. Thank you!!!

18 months old

Emma with Belinda

How strong is Emma? She is very strong. (She learned this from her Uncle Chad)

Emma in her dress from Grandma Sandi

Another busy photo shoot for her monthly pictures. She gets very active when the camera comes out. She does like to see the pictures on the back of the camera when we are done. We did the photos over two days that is why she has a bow in her hair for some of the pictures.
She sure has grown and changed. I got my first mother battle wound today. Emma hit my nose with the drumstick from her Bee Bop Band. I did start to bleed! We tell her she needs to be gentle.

Family Reunion

The Veikko & Eva Lintula Family

Planting a Colorado Blue Spruce in honor of Grandma & Grandpa. The water we used to water the tree had a four leaf clover floating in it! We know it will be lucky!

Emma wanting to go outside to play with her big cousins. Uncle Larry will you open the door?

We had a family reunion this past week/weekend. It was for Chris's Grandma & Grandpa Lintula's family. It was a lot of fun. It was great to see everyone and spend time as a family. We missed those who were unable to attend. We all stayed on Bear Island Lake. We planted a tree in honor of the grandparents, we had Christmas, made Grandma a scrapbook, watched slides, looked at pictures, watched the great-grandchildren perform a skit of Grandma & Grandpa's life, played in the lake, and played many yard games. The disappointment was that Chris's grandma fell on Wednesday and broke her hip! So, she was in the hospital and had surgery on Thursday. She is doing well and a full recovery is expected. It was just disappointing she couldn't be there.
Emma loved all the attention. She did quite well staying away from home and not in her normal routine. I did leave early (Saturday night). Emma needed to get home, she was having such a hard time sleeping that night.

4th of July Recap

Our first family 4th of July

Emma wearing her M&M's All American shirt she received from a friend and holding her beloved puppy
Emma and Nicole during the Eveleth parade

Chris enjoying the Eveleth parade. As many of you know, Chris is NOT a parade goer. Doesn't he look excited?

Emma meeting her cousin Sam. Sam is 9 months old.
She wanted him to give her five.

Emma was insistent that Sam give her knucks.

Exhausted from all the parade excitement.

Playing yard games

We hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July. We enjoyed the day with family and friends. We watched the Eveleth parade. Emma enjoyed the parade, the noise of the fire trucks didn't bother her at all. She liked dancing to the bands. After the parade we had a bbq at our house. It was a great day. We had fun playing croquet, ladder ball and bean bag toss. We were glad that my cousin's came from Indiana. Sam got to enjoy his first 4th on the Iron Range.
